Once a while I hit the gym and do my workout. Do a bit of chest exercises, train my legs, arms and the rest of the body. And yes, every now and then I hit the treadmill and jog for an hour or so. When I decide to hit the treadmill, I always wear some extra clothes. Put on a sweater or two, an extra jogging pant, wear my cap and I’m ready to go.
What surprises me when I’m jogging on the treadmill is that there are quite some people out there wearing t-shirts and shorts. And every time I see one of those people, I’m like… dude, you’re doing it totally wrong.
The first and foremost reason you’re on that treadmill is to lose weight, and the best way to lose weight is to sweat, sweat and sweat some more. By wearing a t-shirt and shorts you won’t be sweating half as much as when you are wearing one, maybe even two sweaters and jogging pants and a cap on your head. By wearing the extra clothes, you’ll be sweating like hell, and that’s when you will see some results. So people, if you’re on the treadmill to lose some weight. Stop wearing t-shirts and shorts, and start wearing extra thick sweater and jogging pants.
If anyone has a better suggestion on what to wear during your treadmill session, please let me know, and I might even try it out.
