RecapOver the past week or two I’ve been writing a series of posts about Push Ups. These posts were mostly for beginners, even though people that are used to push ups could learn a thing or 2 from the series about push ups. I hope these posts have been usefull to you and if they were, please leave a comment or drop me an email or something.

What are push ups and doing your first push ups (Part 1-4)
In this post I described what a push up is and how you can do a push up in 3 simple steps. The second part I’m writing about doing your first push ups and why you shouldn’t overload your muscles right from the start.

The differences in push ups (Part 2-4)
This post is all about the differences in push ups. I described 4 (actually 6) stances in which you can do a push up. The 4 stances are; small stance (diamond push up), normal stance, wide stance and these 3 stances with a bench, which makes the push ups harder. All the different stances train different chest areas, differing from inner to middle to outer chest area.

How to perform the perfect push ups (Part 3-4)
The conclusion of this post? There is not a perfect push up for everyone. Though there is not a perfect push up, there is however 3 factors to which you should pay attention. Those are; speed, position and strokes. Even slight differences in these 3 factors will have a major impact on your push up exercises.

Doing more push ups as time goes by (Part 4-4)
Part 4 of the series is about doing more push ups. This post is also result of a comment made by Herbert Lui from DigitalMediaBreak.com - I put a small “push up plan” in this article as an example. By doing push ups every day, you could go from 15 push ups a day to 50 push ups a day. And this will only take you a maximum of 30 minutes a day.

This was the push ups series. Hope to see you with the next series.
