While doing research for 8 habits that make you fat, i found out that while you’re behind you pc or television, you’re heart rate and metabolism will drop, causing you to burn 20 to 30 calories less per hour. The first thing I did after reading this, was getting me a dumbbell and put it right next to my chair so I can get my blood flowing.
I know it sounds weird and I know it’s weird, but hey, it does wonders for me. Every hour or so I take the dumbbell, do 3 exercises with it and put it back on its place. By doing this, I work out my biceps, triceps, neck area, burn calories and most important of all; I keep my heart rate at a bit higher level than usual and my metabolism doesn’t slow down as much.
So with just a dumbbell next to me I work out my arms and neck area, burn calories and raise my heart rate and metabolism. Do you still think it’s weird to have a dumbbell next me?
