Everyone knows we live in a fast paced world today and there is little time left to exercise regularly. Even though you’re in a hurry, there is still time left for you do some exercises. You might not know about the possibilities, but they are there and you just have to see them. To help you see them I’ll list a few tips that can help you exercise regularly.
Exercise at work
If your office has a special fitness area you could work out there during your lunch break. If you worry too much about your hygiene at work, you could either arrive early at work, which gives you the opportunity to exercise and take a shower afterwards or you could work out after you’re done working.
The tip above would be the ideal situation for everyone of course, but this is usually not the case. Most offices don’t have a fitness or cardio area. So it’s time to look for other alternatives.
Bring your work out gear with you to work
If your office doesn’t have a fitness or cardio area, why not look outside of your office. There could be a gym near the office where you could go during your lunch break. If you think you don’t have enough time during your lunch break, why not go after you’re done working. If you exercise right after you’re done working, you’ll still be fit (if this is at all possible after a hard day work) and having your work out gear with you would be ideal in this case. You don’t have to go home first to get your work out gear first, which could cause you to become a bit dull and give up the idea of working out.
Find a work out partner
I’ve wrote about this before, where I told you that a workout partner is 1 of the key factors to success. Well, in my opinion a work out partner is not just a factor to be successful, a work out partner is also a good “tool” to exercise regularly. While working out on your own could be okay, it’s not as good as working out with a partner. While the partner is very useful inside the gym, he or she is also very useful to get you inside the gym. Having a work out partner that motivates you is a great way to get used to exercise regularly. After all, 2 people can get more done than 1.
So you are not really the type that hits the gym, but instead you like to do quick exercises throughout the day. That’s absolutely fine and could be as effective as working out in the gym. If you’re not the type that hits the gym, I got a couple tips for you as well.
Put a dumbbell next to your chair
This is an unorthodox tip, it helped me a lot and it could help you as well. I wrote about this and in that post I told you that I worked out my arms (biceps, triceps), neck area, burned calories and raised my heart rate and metabolism just by having a dumbbell next to my chair. Doing exercises with the dumbbell barely takes time and you could do it anywhere. Take your office for example. Every now and then you could pick up the dumbbell and do a few exercises with it and continue your work. You could do the exact same thing at home. As long as you do a few exercises a day it could help you exercise regularly.
Make your own push up plan
Making your own push up plan can also help you exercise regularly. Making 1 is very simple and you could adjust it when you think it´s necessary. By having a plan you can easily stick to it which makes exercising regularly easier. For a person that does push ups once a while, it will only take 10 minutes a day. And I think everyone could spare 10 minutes a day.
You can also make it a habit of doing things between your push ups. You could brush your teeth, wash your hair, go to the toilet, clean your desk, wash some dishes and so on. All these activities should take about 1 or 2 minute, depending on your push up plan. So in between your push ups, you’re also taking care of yourself and the house. Not a bad thing huh?
There are 5 tips that can help you exercise regularly. I hope they work for you and if they do, please let me know what you think about it.
