Eating at McDonalds was the first thing I quit doing ever since I watched what I was eating. I did this because I heard all the stories about how unhealthy eating at McDonalds was. It wasn’t the stories that got me worried, but the nutritional facts from McDonalds itself. The first thing I did after deciding not to eat at McDonalds was to check the nutritional facts at McDonalds.com. After seeing that I was glad I quit eating at McDonalds.
Just take a look at these figures. These figures are from a medium Big Mac menu. (Notice: this isn’t the menu with the most calories)
Big Mac: 540 calories
Med French Fries: 80 calories
Med Coca Cola: 210 calories
1 packet of ketchup: 15 calories
Total calories: 1145 calories
With just a medium Big Mac menu, you’re consuming 1145 calories. If you compare this with the average 2000 calories that women need daily, and 2500 calories men need daily. As you can see, 1145 is a scary number. And be honest, if you are a bit bigger than the average person, do you think a medium menu would get rid of that hungry feeling you had? Don’t think so. That’s why we take a look at the amount of calories in a large Big Mac menu.
Big Mac:540 calories
Large French Fries: 570 calories
Large Coca Cola: 310 calories
1 packet of ketchup: 15 calories
Total calories: 1435 calories
A staggering 1435 calories for a large Bic Mac menu. That’s almost the daily amount of calories women need daily! Man, I can’t stress enough that people that want to stay in shape and don’t want to be overweight, should not at McDonalds. But if you don’t care about your health and weight, eat your heart out at McDonalds.
What I’ve learned from the nutritional facts from McDonalds? That I should be happy that till the moment I decided to quite eating at McDonalds the only thing I ate was a McChicken menu and not something else. On a more serious note. Please, please don’t eat McDonalds if you value your health.
A bonus for you guys and girls out there
