Domino\'s Pizza logoTo keep my “why you shouldn’t eat at …” posts going, I picked Domino’s this time. The only reason I chose Domino’s is because of their popularity. Being this popular just asks to be examined and every little thing that’s not right will put you in the spotlights, but not the spotlight you’d want to. I’ve got to admit, compared to McDonalds and Burger King, it was a hell of a lot harder to find the right information for me to show to you guys. But, there is nothing to worry about. I found the information I was looking for. I hope you guys and girls “enjoy” it.

Let’s take the 12 inch, medium pizza with 1 topping. I’ll be picking random ingredients so It won’t be the pizza with the most calories. I might be wrong with this though, but as I was reading the nutritional sheet, it said 1 of 8 equal slices. This would mean you’d have the multiply the following numbers by 8.

Crust: Classic Hand-Tossed 160 calories
Sauce/Cheese: Extra cheese 25 calories
Standard meat topping: Pepperoni 40 calories
Total: 225 calories x 8 slices = 1800 calories

Right, 1800 calories for a medium sized pizza. Please someone tell me that I’m horribly mistaken as this number crushed all of my expectations. If this indeed is the real number, then I won’t even take a look at a Domino’s logo from now on, let alone think about eating it.

But we’re not there yet. We still got our 14 inch, large pizza with 2 toppings and extra cheese. This time I’ll be going for ingredients that have the highest amount of calories in them. Please don’t be shocked by the numbers you’re about to see.

Crust: Classic Hand-Tossed 230 calories
Sauce/Cheese: Deep Dish Cheese 80 calories
Standard meat topping: Pepperoni 50 calories
Optional Cheese: Provolone Cheese 60 calories
Optional meat topping: Bacon 40
Total: 450 calories x 8 slices = 3600 calories?

Are you kidding me? Three thousand six hundred calories. Please can someone confirm this and tell me whether I’m wrong or right. Because if it is indeed 3600 calories, you could be getting a heart attack just by looking at the pizza.

I won’t be warning anyone until someone has confirmed this. I got my numbers from the Domino’s Pizza nutrition information website Can someone please check it as well and please tell me I’m wrong.

Before I started to write this post I had no idea it would be a number like this. I’m still not sure if I’m correct and still am waiting till someone verifies this.
