Be careful using a drug that “helps” you quit smoking

A Quit Smoking SignWhen I was reading the LA Times (don’t ask me why) I came across an article named: “Drug taken to stop smoking is linked to traffic mishaps”. In this article they are telling a story of a man who crashed because of a new prescription drug called Chantix. Even though the drug was FDA approved, the nonprofit Institute for SMP last week linked Chantix to more than 24 highway accidents.

With this bit from the LA Times I just want to emphasize the importance of not using a drug to “help” you with your smoking addiction. I’ve made a list of 31 tips that can help you quit smoking. If you can make use of half the tips on the list, you should have quite a chance of stopping with smoking. And in another post I wrote about a couple things that can help you stop smoking.

So please guys and girls. If you plan to stop smoking, try not to use a drug that “helps” you with it. Try it the natural way. If that doesn’t work than see a doctor. A drug should be your last choice.
