Active People Need A Filtered Water Bottle

General

Many people are becoming more active in their daily lives as a response to the news that over half the population is overweight. One of the ways this is accomplished is by getting out and walking more or riding a bicycle. Others go camping and hiking in the woods at every opportunity. In both of these cases, having a filtered water bottle makes it easier and safer to stay hydrated.

In the case of those who walk or bicycle in metro areas, it is important to carry water with them so that they can stay hydrated and avoid cramps or other issues that can develop from becoming dehydrated. Depending on the distance covered and the weather, there is always the chance that the water brought from home will not be sufficient to maintain proper hydration. When this is the case, it may be necessary to get additional water from a public water fountain or tap water from a store. A filtered water bottle can make this safer and improve the flavor of the water acquired in this manner.

The simple fact is that most municipal water systems contain certain impurities that can affect the taste of the water and/or pose health risks to those who consume the water. The levels of impurities can vary greatly from one house to another and one location to another within the area served by that water utility.

If a person carries a filtered water bottle, any impurities that appear in the water will be caught before the water is consumed and water obtained from a fountain in the park or the spigot outside the local convenience store will be just as good tasting and just as healthy as the water that was put into the bottle at home. The taste should be the same as well.

In the case of those who enjoy the great outdoors, a filtered water bottle is an essential piece of equipment. This is especially true if an insufficient amount of water is taken from home on the trip to keep all members of the party hydrated for the duration of the trip. This is because most sources of water in the wilderness can contain a wide range of bacteria and other contaminants that make the water taste bad and/or be a threat to personal health.

A good filtered water bottle will remove harmful bacteria and other contaminants as the bottle is filled so that the water that is consumed is nearly pure and is perfectly safe. It can also improve the taste of the water in many cases.
