Last week, at work, I realized something that made a big impact on me. And that’s the face I haven’t been using the refrigerator at work for the past 6 or 7 months. I don’t know why I haven’t been using it, but the fact remains, I haven’t been using it. I think it was since last week that I’ve been using the refrigerator and I got to say it rocks.
The main reason it rocks is because you can simply have breakfast at work. There are days that I skip breakfast due to the lack of time in the morning and by the time I arrive at work I’m starving. Up until last week, I would have walked down to the supermarket grabbed me something to eat and get back to office. (It’s only a 5 minute walk) Imagine doing this a couple times a week. How much would this have cost you? It’s quite a bit I can tell you.
Ever since I’ve been using the refrigerator at work I had a breakfast every morning. Be it at home or at work. I just bought some cereals, some filling for my bread, a bit of orange juice once a while and voila, a breakfast waiting for you. It costs me less than half of what it would have cost me if I were to buy something from the supermarket couple times a week.
For you folks out there that aren’t using the refrigerator at work yet, start doing it as soon as possible. Not only will you save money by doing this, you will also have a decent breakfast even though you didn’t have one back at home.
A quick note: Make some agreements with your colleagues so that your food doesn’t disappear without you knowing it. Talking from personal experience here.
