5 reasons why you should have breakfast

Oats, barley, and some products made from cerealPeople who have breakfast in the morning are less likely to be overweight in the future, and have a smaller chance to get diabetes and heart deceases. These facts came from a study of the  American Heart Association.

And here are 5 reasons why you should have a good breakfast daily:

1. After a long (or short) sleep, your metabolism will have slowed down. Your body does this automaticly  when you have not eaten for hours. A slow metabolism will burn fewer calories and conserve energy. By eating breakfast, you will “wake up” your body and speed up your metabolism again which in turn will speed up the burning of calories.

2. By eating breakfast, you will perform better at school and work, A breakfast will help you wake up and you’ll be more alert and concentrated, meaning you’ll do better at whatever you’re doing!

3. Be a good example for your children, By having breakfast with your children, you will show them that having breakfast is as important as the other meals of the day. By not having breakfast you will give your children the idea that breakfast is not important and they will be more likely to skip it.

4. During your breakfast, you have the chance to eat food that won’t be eating for the rest of the day. Lets say you eat a whole-grain cereal and berries with milk, By doing this, you will have eating your daily portion of fiber, folic, acid and calcium in 1 go.

5. Want to be grouchy all day? Skip your breakfast. Studies show that people who eat breakfast tend to be in better moods. Breakfast gets you started on the right track for the day. If you start out with a healthy breakfast, then you set the mood for lunch. You’re more likely to choose something reasonable for lunch if you’ve paid some attention to your breakfast choices.
